The Cottages at Bell Haven are an easy 2.5 to 3 hour drive from the East Bay, Sacramento or San Francisco and there are a variety of routes to take to Clear Lake depending on your desire to include wine-tasting, site-seeing and open countryside in your travels. Do NOT take 175 from Middletown unless you love rollercoaster rides!

From San Francisco:

• Take Highway 101 North from the Bay Area to North Santa Rosa.  Take the River Rd/Guerneville Exit.
• Turn Right onto Mark West Springs Rd, Mark West Springs Rd Becomes Porter Creek Rd & Continue for 10.5 miles until it ends at a Red Flashing Light & Stop Sign. Turn Left onto Petrified Forrest Rd towards Calistoga & Continue for 4.66 miles until it ends at a Stop Sign. Turn Left onto Foothill Blvd/CA-128 & Continue for .8 miles.
• Turn Right onto Tubbs Lane & Continue for 1.32 miles going past the Old Faithful Geyser until it ends at a Stop Sign. Turn Left onto Highway CA-29 & Continue for 27.93 miles going over Mt. Saint Helena and continuing through Middletown to the stoplight in Lower Lake. Turn Left onto CA-29 at Lower Lake (Shell Station on left) & Continue for 7.56 miles.   
• Turn Right onto Soda Bay Road/CA-281 (Kits Corner Store on right) & Continue for 10 miles, following the curving road, until you see the Main Entrance of Bell Haven Resort. Turn Right into the Resort.
